Hi! Welcome to Baked Ambrosia!
I’m Angelina, the recipe developer, photographer, and voice behind Baked Ambrosia, a baking blog I started as a hobby in 2016. Since then, Baked Ambrosia has transformed into a full-time job where I get to share all things baking, cooking, and snippets of my crazy and spontaneous life.
I currently live in Cincinnati, OH but grew up in Queens, New York where I was surrounded by many different types of food and cuisines from all around the world. Growing up, I had the opportunity to experience new flavors and unfamiliar food, which ignited my curiosity for food from an early age.
My family comes from Greece & Cyprus, so eating and talking about food is basically all we do … and when we aren’t eating or talking food, we are still just hanging out in the kitchen.
As a first generation Greek/Cypriot American, I spent a lot of time in the kitchen watching my parents and grandmother prepare meals, absorbing and evaluating every technique and method. I cultivated a passion for food at an early age experimenting with recipes and never hesitating to ask any question that came to mind. As I grew older, my love of food became a defining aspect of my identity. I longed to learn more about food so I enrolled in Pastry School. After completing pastry school, I wanted to understand how what we eat affects our bodies, so I also received a degree in human nutrition.
As you can tell, I’m seriously passionate about food so creating the blog was a no brainer. I love helping people create delicious food and enjoying it with the people they love. In this space, I share all of favorite recipes. From rich and indulgent cakes to healthy treats and everything in between. My goal is to inspire you to get into the kitchen and create delicious from-scratch food that you will be proud of!
On that note, here are a few facts about me:
- I love going grocery shopping (well, just shopping in general)
- I am usually always running late
- I have chocolate at least once a day
- I hate tomatoes and can definitely do without cheese
- I recently launched a honey and sesame energy bar business with my sister. You can check out Beeyond Bars here!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
