(Healthier) Homemade Reese’s Puffs Cereal

Healthier Homemade Reese's Puffs Cereal

Homemade Reese’s Puffs Cereal are chocolatey and peanut buttery with just the right amount of sweetness.

Cereal was my favorite breakfast food – Cocoa Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fruit Pebbles, Cookie Crisps, and Apple Jacks just to name a few.

My love for sugary cereal was just as much as your average 8 year old.

Now that I’m older, I still have a soft spot for cereal. However, I indulge in cereal that has less sugar, more fiber, and more whole grains. It is made with whole wheat pastry flour, almond flour, coconut oil, and honey. I use Anthony’s Goods natural almond flour and organic cocoa powder. For the peanut butter, I always use an unsalted natural peanut butter that only contains one ingredient (peanuts).

Once in a while, I’m feeling nostalgic and get a craving for my favorite childhood foods. Peanut butter and chocolate are one of my favorite combinations. Now, don’t get me wrong, Reese’s Puffs cereal is delicious. But, one look at the ingredient list and nutrition label makes me cringe.

My homemade Reese’s Puffs cereal is made with only natural ingredients, and has WAY less sugar. It might not be the real thing, but it definitely is close enough!

    1. Hi Vivi! You can store the cereal at room temperature for up to 1 week if you plan on eating it soon. If not, I would recommend storing the cereal in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 10 days or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
