Quick and Easy 6-Ingredient Pumpkin Butter
Make your own quick and easy homemade 6-Ingredient Pumpkin Butter this fall. (vegan and paleo substitutions included)
Pumpkin butter is a fall staple in my house. It is a blend of warm spices, lightly sweetened, and the perfect spread for toast, muffins, and scones.
I like to make a batch early in the season and use it throughout the end of November. It keeps in the fridge for up to a month. Homemade pumpkin butter also makes a great gift for friends and family!
This 6-ingredient pumpkin butter is so easy to make. It can be made in less than 30 minutes on the stove top or in a Thermomix.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- canned pumpkin
- brown sugar (or coconut sugar)
- real maple syrup, for sweetness.
- lemon juice
- pumpkin pie spice
- cinnamon, for an extra boost
To make the pumpkin butter, all you have to do is add everything to a sauce pan (or Thermomix bowl) and cook until it’s thick, aromatic, and perfect.
These are my favorite ways to use pumpkin butter:
- On toast
- With muffins, scones, or quick breads
- Over pancakes or waffles
- Stirred into oatmeal
- In baked goods, for extra pumpkin-y goodness
- With a shot of espresso and steamed milk, for the perfect Pumpkin Spice Latte!

Quick and Easy 6-Ingredient Pumpkin Butter
Ingredients
- 15 oz canned pumpkin puree
- 1/3 cup brown sugar or coconut sugar
- ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice*
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- In a medium sauce pan, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, maple syrup, lemon juice, and spices. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and cook 20-25 minutes, stirring often until pumpkin thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and let cool. Transfer to a glass jar and keep in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

Ingredients
- 15 oz canned pumpkin puree

- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice*
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Place pumpkin puree, brown sugar, maple syrup, lemon juice, and spices into mixing bowl. Cook 20 min/200 degrees F/speed 1. Let cool then transfer to a glass jar. Keep refrigerated for up to 1 month.
